The CDC reported that the number of human infections resulting from tick, mosquito and flea bites tripled from 2004 to 2016. The 96,075 cases were the highest on record. West Nile Virus, Zika, Lyme Disease, Chikungunya Virus, and Yellow Fever are all present. Virginia and Maryland are in the “high danger” zone.
